Week of December 8, 2025

Here’s a rundown of my week.

Snake Plissken

I used to watch Escape from New York and think, “I wanna be as cool as Snake when I grow up.”

Didn’t happen.

“Call me Snake.”

Random Book Quote

“Again, Rasputin is an evil son of a bitch,” Chandler continues. “He once fed dental floss to a house cat.”

“Man, that is evil,” Riddick sighs.

“What? I'm lost,” I offer.

“Dental floss will tear a cat’s intestines up. Literally slice them apart,” Riddick explains.

I think about this for a moment then decide I don't care. It's not that I have anything against cats…well, screw cats.

Andy Griffith: Pray for the Wildcats

Andy Griffith first played a villain in the 1974 made-for-TV movie, “Pray for the Wildcats.” This movie sees Andy manipulate men, attempt to purchase women, cuckhold a husband, slam tequila, fight, and dance. Also in the movie is the dad from The Brady Bunch as an ad executive and William Shatner who pretty much plays himself. Angie Dickinson shows up to play The Brady Bunch’s dad’s wife and to have an affair with Shatner.
This concludes my take on “Pray for the Wildcats.”

Thanksgiving Drum

I took my son-in-law Jordan Batson (above) and son Barrett fishing down at Port Aransas, Texas for Thanksgiving.

Read about it HERE.

Gayne C. Young

If you mixed Ernest Hemingway, Robert Ruark, Hunter S. Thompson, and four shots of tequila in a blender, a "Gayne Young" is what you'd call the drink!
