Week of July 13, 2026
Here’s a rundown of my week.
Jett’s Ride
Spoiler Alert: At the end of Tiger Tales from the Acuña Cartel: A Jett Turner Misadventure, Book 1, Cartel Boss Tito “el Tigre” Calderón gifts Jett Turner a white 1972 Ferrari Daytona Spyder (365 TS/4 with Herford cowhide interior.
The car is actually a replica built on a Corvette (as was the black one on Miami Vice). The actual Ferrari these replicas were based produced 352 horsepower. Jett’s has a 5.5L LT6 V8 (C8 Z06) Corvette engine that produces 670 horsepower.
Jett doesn’t need that power as he rarely does anything other than drive from his house to HEB or to his favorite bar-away-from-home Sirens.

I threw my best-selling book Tiger Tales from the Acuña Cartel: A Jett Turner Misadventure, Book 1 into AI and asked for a country song.
The result is actually pretty good.

Yet Another Mile Swim
Remember kids, it takes 35 laps to equal a mile, and you burn a Miller Lite for every two laps you swim.
So…swim a mile and you can have a 12 pack and some to spare!

I crafted this skull from concrete using a silicon mold I bought online. It was hard mixing the concrete. It has even harder waiting for the concrete to dry. But I had patience. Patience and skill brought this skull to me. Patience and skill. I hope this story inspired you. Now, go out there and make the world yours! You’ve got this!
Hanging with Ryan
Last night’s dreams on Nyquil did not disappoint.
They tripped the light fantastic, were painted in neon and sepia, and led to some great sleep.
The oddest of these dreams saw me and Ryan Gosling hanging out, drinking beer, and discussing ad nauseam the merits of the classic 1970’s TV series Land of the Lost.
Yeah, I don’t know what any of that means or was supposed to tell me but it’s got me thinking that that might be one hell of an afternoon.
