Random Joke
“A man walks into a library and says, ‘I hope you don’t have a book on reverse psychology.’”

300!
Considering that less than 1% of readers leave reviews, Tiger Tales from the Acuña Cartel: A Jett Turner Misadventure, Book 1 hitting 300 is a huge milestone for me.
Thanks to all who left reviews and to the several thousand who have purchased it.
That’s it.
That’s all I’ve got.
Thanks again!
Mile Swim
Swam three miles this week.
Never needed a lifeguard.
Podcast?
I’ve been approached to do a podcast for a new network.
The podcast would cover all things writing, publishing, researching, and the lifestyle involved. Secrets will be shared as will interviews with those in the business.
Right now, the name we’re kicking around is “Put it on the Page with Gayne C. Young.”
What’cha think?

The Terminal List
This is not political. I don’t understand why some media is called out as “woke” for changing characters and other shows aren’t. This summer, a lot of people complained about The Odessey. They didn’t like that characters they believed should be white were played by other ethnicities. But a lot of these same people have no issue with other shows. For example, in the Terminal List books, the character of Katie Buranek is described as being blonde and of Czech heritage. On the TV adaptation of the series, she’s played by Constance Wu who is brunette and of Chinese heritage.
Why is one TV show or movie changing characters an issue but not another?
People gotta complain about something I guess.
I don’t get it.

Start The Clock!
Start the clock!
Jay-Z announcing himself as the musical act for the Super Bowl LXI halftime show means only one thing...people will very soon be posting their dream acts to perform an alternative show! Bring on the memes of Lee Greenwood, Kid Rock, and that dude who sang Mambo #5 gearing up to promote the REAL AMERICA!
Animals
“Animals” stars Kerry Washington as a horrible person who is married to a horrible husband. Both of them do horrible things with other horrible people all to get ahead politically. Along the way is a kidnapping, murder, extortion, and some immigrant issues.
Overall, “Animals” is pretty entertaining although everyone is morally compromised.
No nudity. Some sex and alcohol use.
Grab a 12 pack and check it out.
Random Quote
“The scarlet bikini which had covered a minimum of those eye-popping curves lay crumpled on the floor at her feet, and my eyes focused on her as glassily as did the dead man’s. He was dead, all right. he had been shot, poisoned, stabbed, and strangled.
Either somebody really had it in for him or four people had killed him. Or else it was the cleverest suicide I’d ever heard of.”
