Week of October 26, 2026

Here’s a rundown of my week.

Tulsa King

On this week’s Tulsa King, Dana Delaney (above) died off screen, Stallone‘s daughter quit selling ecstasy, two Italian guys visited a café on the interstate only to find that it was a meeting hall for the Aaryan Nation, that black guy and that chick who used to have a mohawk sell bad ecstasy to strippers, and Stallone mopes about it all.

Lots of cursing, nudity, drug use, death, sadness, and drinking.

Grab a 12 pack and check it out.

302!

Considering that less than 1% of readers leave reviews, Tiger Tales from the Acuña Cartel: A Jett Turner Misadventure, Book 1 hitting 300 is a huge milestone for me.

Thanks to all who left reviews and to the several thousand who have purchased it.

That’s it.

That’s all I’ve got.

Thanks again!

Random Quote

“There was never a more splendidly barbaric sight. In after years I was glad that I had seen it. Hundreds of warriors, the flower of the fighting men of the southwestern Plains tribes, mounted upon their finest horses, armed with guns and lances, and carrying heavy shields of thick buffalo hide, were coming like the wind. Over all was splashed the rich colors of red, vermillion and ochre, on the bodies of the men, on the bodies of the running horses. Scalps dangled from bridles, gorgeous war-bonnets fluttered their plumes, bright feathers dangled from the tails and manes of the horses, and the bronzed, halfnaked bodies of the riders glittered with ornaments of silver and brass. Behind this headlong charging host stretched the Plains, on whose horizon the rising sun was lifting its morning fires. The warriors seemed to emerge from this glowing background.”

- William Dixon describing the onslaught of Comanche, Cheyenne, and Kiowa warriors who attacked Adobe Walls, Texas on June 27, 1874.

Almost Here!

Yes, I was shooting for the end of October but I’m not gonna make it.

Time Hunter

I’m writing a comic.

Ok, I already wrote a comic.

I did so after learning that a few of my writer friends / colleagues have ventured into the medium.

Yes, the art will be AI (see our hero above) but the story is written by me.

Look for Man is the Prey: Time Hunter, Book 1 in January.

Random Song Lyric

Let’s go down to the Sunset Grill

We can watch the working girls go by

Watch the basket people walk around and mumble

Stare out at the auburn sky

Use this term today.

Mile Swim

The new shower curtains at the pool are nice but don’t keep 70 and 80 year old men from walking around naked in the locker room.

Ugh.

I need to find somewhere else to swim a mile.

Hobby Lobby

Hobby Lobby is the hell that keeps on giving.

Día de los Muertos

Happy Day of the Dead my friends.

Gayne C. Young

If you mixed Ernest Hemingway, Robert Ruark, Hunter S. Thompson, and four shots of tequila in a blender, a "Gayne Young" is what you'd call the drink!
