Chad Powers Season 2
Chad Powers Season 2 sees Glenn Powell play that guy who plays that other guy playing football and trying to navigate his feelings for that hot, tall gal who plays Coach Ricky Hudson.
Along the way is actress Wynn Everett (I looked that one up!) who plays my favorite character Tricia. This Southern Belle of a fantastic bitch says great things like, “I would burst into tears at the thought of letting poor people into heaven,” “It’s pilates, I keep in shape so that I can run from the poor someday,” “Hope is for the impoverished,” and “I will commit ritualistic seppuka if I have to watch Gerry Dougan play another snap.”
The show is extremely well written and the cast top notch. I hope there’s a third season. Chad Powers Season 2 saw no nudity, very little drug use, and lots of flashing lights. Grab a 12 pack and check it out.

Five Decembers
Five Decembers by James Kestrel is by far the best book I’ve read this year (and I read quite a bit). Follow Honolulu police detective Joe McGrady as he hunts a vicious killer halfway across the globe, through the horrors or war and into a world that hasn’t changed for the better. Pulp noir meets historical fiction with romance and culture studies woven throughout.
Can’t recommend the book enough and hope to God to see more from the author soon.
